Melissa was born and raised in Echuca/Moama, living in the area before relocating to Bendigo to work with Jenny in mid-2014.
Prior to relocating to Bendigo, Melissa worked in Echuca for Jenny at a firm Jenny previously managed. Melissa studied law at Deakin University by correspondence whilst working full time in Echuca and gained significant experience in her role as a clerk.
Melissa has experience conducting conveyancing matters including water transactions in both Victoria and New South Wales. Melissa was raised on a farming property in New South Wales. She consequently has a keen interest in the agricultural sector and enjoys working on all matters involving farming properties. After gaining experience in property, Melissa worked as Jenny’s personal assistant, predominantly in family law and personal and business succession planning. Melissa now enjoys working as a family lawyer in both complex property transactions, children’s issues (including children of same-sex couples) and court advocacy. She also practices as a business lawyer dealing with matters ranging from company structuring to sales and purchases of businesses and leasing.
Along with Jenny, Melissa has been able to combine the knowledge and experience she has gained in commercial transactions and family law to become proficient in drafting complex Binding Financial Agreements.
